Cal Gall is a good starting point if you are interested in going for walks or if you want to go on longer routes.  

The Way of Saint James ( Camino de Santiago).  From Cal Gall, take the Way of Saint James path, which passes right in front of the house and heads towards the church of Santa Maria de Talló. It is the easiest way to start exploring the surrounding area. 

La Font de Talló (Fountain of Talló). From Cal Gall take the Way of Saint James path to Talló, then take the road toward Bellver. You will come to the first junction where you will find information panels. Take the road that goes left. A little further on we find the next junction and we go left again. Later, leave the asphalted road to take a dirt track on the right, and continue straight on until you reach the next fork in the road where you take the path on the right. You will soon reach your destination. It is a very quiet spot, easy to get to and with a large open area where you can relax or just have a picnic. The Font de Talló is located at the foot of the Monterròs mountain, protected by a small chapel with a reproduction of the Mare de Déu de Talló (Virgin of Talló). 

The basses de Gallissà. It is a protected area close to the river Segre, part of Reserva Natural Parcial Ribera de l’Alt Segre ( Ribera de l'Alt Segre Partial Nature Reserve), with the objective of preserving the otter and its habitat. In this Nature Reserve you will be able to visit the local riverside woodland and vegetation. To get there, you have to leave Bellver and follow the road that takes you to the village of Pi. Once you are on the road and before a quite steep slope, you will find a road on the right; there is a signpost. Follow this road and go to the end. You can get there on foot from Bellver: the distance to the car park is approximately 800 m. During the itineraries you will pass the ponds of the Encantades (White Ladies or Fairies of the Pyrenees) or the Tirons (ducks in the local language). It is also possible to occasionally observe storks thanks to a re-introduction programme that was carried out a few years ago. A highly recommended place to visit with children.

Pla de la Batllia. Circular route from Bellver- Pi-Olià-Santa Eugènia-les Basses de Gallissà- serrat de Gallissà- Bellver. A very simple route, lasting no more than a couple of hours, to enjoy with the whole family.

 La Vall de L'Ingla (Valley of Ingla). From Cal Gall, take the Way of Saint James path to Talló, then take the path towards Coborriu, Santa Magdalena and the Vall de l’Ingla following the white and red paint signs of the Bons Homes path (GR-107). After 1 km you come to the first junction, go straight on and then turn left towards Vall de l’Ingla at the next junction (there is a green signpost). We will pass the Sant Serni de Coborriu hermitage, and start the dirt track that will take us to the Font de l’Ingla recreation area where you will find a barbecue and picnic area.  

Cap del Ras viewpoint. From Cal Gall go by car to the village of Riu de Cerdanya and from there you take a dirt road of about 10 kilometres to the viewpoint.  It is a mountain path so drive carefully. Once you arrive at the car park, you will see that there is a small path, suitable for people with reduced mobility and pushchairs, which leads into the forest. The walk to the viewpoint is about 700 metres, flat and very accessible.

Ruta de la Llúdriga ( Route of the Otter). A 2.8 km walk (there and back) following the marked route. The route follows the course of the river Segre along its own banks at all times. At the final stretch of the route, we gain a bit of height and we can admire the course of the river and the meanders it makes from a nice elevated perspective.
The route is suitable for children: the path is short and it has the draw of the river and the panels with illustrations explaining the rainforest and the river ecosystem. The starting point is in the village of Martinet. You can park your car in the sports area and follow the signs.

Horse riding offers you a unique perspective of the nature surrounding you, making you the protagonists of the scenery. Horse riding is beneficial both for body and mind.  

You can do different routes on horseback while enjoying the landscape; one or two hours, organised according to the level of each one, classes with a teacher, on your own or riding lessons for the little ones.

Malniu lake. It can be accessed by road from the village of Meranges, the last stretch is a mountain road.  In the summer, you have to pay a parking fee to leave your car at the Malniu refuge. From there, the walk takes half an hour to reach the first lake, Malniu, but it is suitable for children. 

El Salt del Molí. We recommend the waterfall of the Salt del Molí, if you like very cold water. Here, there is a small pool under a waterfall suitable for bathing. It is located between Prullans and Lles and it is very easy to access, which means that in August it is quite crowded. There is space for picnics near the river.

La Palanca del Segre. This is a circular route that starts at the hermitage of Quadres, between the villages of All and Isòvol. The route is easy, passing first along the path that goes to the Molí de Ger and returning along the signposted route that goes along the Segre river. At this point, there are different footbridges and beaches along the river, where you can bathe.

Llacs de la Pera. At Martinet we take the road towards Lles de Cerdanya and Arànser. We can arrive at the Font de les Pollineres resting area, the starting point of the hike. It is a 5.4 km circular route to the well-known Estanys de la Pera.  During the ascent to the refuge and the same ponds, we follow the path, advancing through alpine meadows and black pine woods. We descend along the dirt track that connects the refuge with the Pollineres spring.
From 2021 access by private vehicle to the Pollineres - the starting point of the route described above - is restricted both on the Lles de Cerdanya track and the Aransa track. During the summer months, there is a bus that takes you there.

Bulloses lake. A very easy and fun treck to do with children is to take the cable car from the Font Romeu station (it is the cable car of the La Calme area) which leaves you 300 metres from the Bulloses lake.

Passet lake. Tyrolines de Tyrovol. One of the most beautiful lakes in the area (Porté Puymorens) and one of the easiest to access. It can be reached by car and there is a large picnic area. There is also one of the most entertaining Tyrolean parks in the Pyrenees, Tyrovol , as the circuits cross the lake from one end to the other, and there are some routes where you can even touch the water with your feet. It is open every day in July and August and you have to book in advance. 

L'Estany de la Font Viva. You can go by car to the Passet lake, in the French village of Porté-Puymorens. Afterwards, you have to follow a route marked with grey marks. It is a circular treck of about 6 km, the way up is a bit steep (at some points you may need to climb a little bit) but the way back is smooth. It is called the "Sender de les Encantades" and you will find different signs that indicate the places of the legends.

From Cal Gall, it is very easy to go to the local shops, where you will find good local products to buy: sausages made by artisans, good meat from the Pyrenees, good quality yogurts at L'esquella, bread, cakes and coques at Forn Pous, tasty and creamy ice creams at Gelateria Pyreneum and good cow, sheep and goat cheese, jam, honey.....
We recommend the cheese, 30 goats in Éller, cheese from  Moli de Ger or cheese from Meranges that you can buy in the shops, markets or go to the cheesemaker directly. 

Cal Gall is surrounded by good restaurants with a rich gastronomic offer of traditional dishes. In the accomodation you will find information about the nearest restaurants and services so that you can make your choice. We recommend you to book in advance during more touristic seasons.

A good place to stroll through its streets, go shopping and have a hot chocolate and "churros" if it's cold, or a nice ice cream in the summer. Among the most emblematic tourist attractions are the Campanar, the Llac and Parc Shierbeck. Around the town, you can walk the Camí dels Enamorats, the Camí de Sant Marc... nice places to go for a walk. Also, if you feel like it, you can go ice skating.

The project aims to show you the most spectacular interiors of the churches in our region. We propose two itineraries where you will visit four churches and in each one of them you will be accompanied by a guide specialised in Pyrenean heritage. On the south facing part of the route you can visit the churches of Santa Maria d'All (Isòvol), Santa Maria de Quadres (Isòvol), Santa Cecília de Bolvir and Sant Climent de Talltorta (Bolvir) and on the north facing part of the route, the churches of Santa Maria de Talló (Bellver de Cerdanya), Sant Julià de Pedra (Bellver de Cerdanya), Sant Joan Baptista de Riu de Cerdanya and Sant Pere d'Alp. Rocaviva, also known as Magic Labyrinth, is a sculptural space by the artist Climent Olm located between the municipalities of Pont de Bar and Lles.

The sculpture park contains approximately 600 fixed sculptures in an area of about 10 hectares as well as an undetermined number of mobile sculptures, all of which are combined with meadows, woods, hedgerows and oaks in a maze of paths. A highly recommendable place for young and old alike. The visit must be booked in advance

After skiing or trekking, both in summer and winter, the sulphurous waters will provide you with relaxation.  Ideal after muscular effort, for skin problems and rheumatism.
Located in Alta Cerdanya you will find the Llo and Dorres baths, great proposals for a good moment of well-being. 
You can also go to Alt Urgell to the Sant Vicenç baths and if you want to go to Andorra, you can visit Caldea. We recommend you to have a look at the website of the different places to know their characteristics.

A few kilometres from Cal Gall you are already in French territory. Here are some interesting proposals to do.

Parc Animalier des Angles, a natural area where animals live in the wild, the park allows you to observe the great wild animals that still live in the Pyrenees, such as brown bears, fallow deers, wild boars,  mouflon, wild goats, chamois or marmots. 
Poterie la Ferme, you will be welcomed by the ceramist Jaume Vilà. There you will find ceramics where functionality, design and durability come together to make each piece unique. Angoustrine-Villeneuve-des-Escaldes, France.
Eina Valley, is a nature reserve protected for its flora, which is splendid between the months of May and June. It is reached from the Eina reservoir (a village near Sallagosa in the French Cerdanya). Circular route of 4 km, it can be done with children.
The Cave of Fontrabiouse, the visit lasts for about an hour and has a route of almost one kilometre with a height difference of 70 steps. It is advisable to wear good shoes and a raincoat.
The Train Jaune, is a small, narrow-gauge train, which runs from the Tour de Carol to Vilafranca de Conflent. Better in the summer, good views, take your time. It is also possible to do only a part of the route, because it is long.
The Gorges of Carança. The route starts in the small village of Thues-entre-Vaills. The route of Les Gorges of Carança is circular, with about 7 km and 300 m of height difference, although almost all the visitors take the same route for the return. This route takes about 4 hours. It is not recommended for children.
